How do I measure the stump?
Measure across the widest point of the top of the stump. For height, measure from ground level to the top. Don't worry about being exact - we'll verify on-site.
What about the roots?
Surface roots within a few feet of the stump are included. We grind them down to the same depth. Major root flares may add to the price.
What happens to the grindings?
The wood chips are spread around the hole or nearby. They make great mulch. Chip removal is available as an add-on if you prefer a clean site.
Can I plant in the same spot?
Yes! After grinding, you can plant grass, shrubs, or even a new tree. We recommend 12" or deeper grinding if you plan to plant a new tree.
