Cocoa Beach Selective Clearing Project
This project demonstrates our precision approach: initial forestry mulching to manage undergrowth, followed by selective clearing to preserve valuable mature trees while creating functional open space. The result showcases professional land management that balances usability with environmental preservation.
Understanding Forestry Mulching: A Comprehensive Guide
Forestry mulching is a revolutionary land management technique that transforms landscape restoration. Unlike traditional clearing methods involving multiple machines, burning, or hauling debris, our advanced mulching approach uses specialized equipment with rotating drums to simultaneously cut, grind, and clear vegetation in a single, environmentally conscious pass. The key differentiator is our commitment to ecological preservation: instead of creating waste, we convert vegetation into a protective mulch layer that actively enhances soil health, prevents erosion, and supports natural ecosystem regeneration.
Ideal Applications:
- ✓Overgrown property reclamation
- ✓Trail and road creation
- ✓Acreage preparation for development
- ✓Firebreak establishment
- ✓Selective vegetation management

Ecological Restoration: Beyond Land Clearing
Environmental Benefits
- 🌱Minimal Ecosystem Disruption
Preserves existing root systems and native plant communities while removing invasive species.
- 💧Erosion Prevention
Creates a protective mulch layer that stabilizes soil, reduces runoff, and prevents landscape degradation.
- 🌿Native Habitat Restoration
Encourages growth of native grasses and supports local biodiversity by removing competitive invasive vegetation.
Soil Health Advantages
- 🌞Natural Fertilization
Mulched organic matter acts as a slow-release fertilizer, enriching soil without chemical additives.
- 🌈Microbiome Enhancement
Promotes healthy soil microbial communities by maintaining organic material and reducing mechanical disturbance.
- 🌱Temperature Moderation
Mulch layer helps regulate soil temperature, protecting root systems and supporting plant growth.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much area can you clear per day?
We mulch about 1–5 acres per day depending on vegetation density and your DBH package selection. Light underbrush clears fastest; thicker growth and larger-tree preservation take longer.
What size trees can you mulch?
Our largest package is 10" DBH & Under. That means all vegetation up to 10 inches diameter at breast height is mulched; larger trees are preserved unless specifically addressed.
Do you remove the mulch material?
No. Mulch stays on-site as natural ground cover to prevent erosion, suppress weeds, and enrich soil.
How do you handle wet or soft ground?
Our track machines have low ground pressure (4-6 PSI) similar to a person walking. We can work in conditions where wheeled equipment would get stuck or cause damage.
Is a permit required for Forestry Mulching?
Permit requirements vary by location and project scope. We recommend checking with your local building department or environmental agency. Many forestry mulching projects don't require permits, but it's always best to verify local regulations before beginning work.
